Have you ever wonder, what is love? why did love exist? do you really understand love?

Love is an emotion that nearly everyone has experienced at some time in their life.

So what is love -- real, lasting love?

Love is the attachment that results from deeply appreciating another's goodness.

Of Cause, different people have different definition, that's why, we come together sharing our concepts, experiences, troubles and help each other in the path of real, lasting love.

Where is the Love?

Came across the 2nd shocking news yesterday as i flipped through the newspaper & read " Body of 2nd slain Korean found". For those who are not aware of this recent event, this is a short summary: The Teleban rebels have held 21 korean hostages & demanded that the Afghan government to free the terrorist prisoners by a certain deadline. As the deadline has expired, 2 Korean hostages were killed as a result, first one being shot repeatedly in the head and the 2nd one slain and left by the roadside. And this gives me the little inspiration to write this blog.

As i'm sitting here comfortably, listening to my itunes & typing out these words, i must admit i would not be able to truly understand the fear & agony that those hostages are going through, likewise for the rest of us. But what is it in the minds of those terrorists as they plot & execute their devilish plans? Is it purely for their extreme beliefs & "glory"? Or is it merely for the world to give them a little attention? As they shattered the lives of many & introduced terror to their victims, did the images of the victim’s loved ones & their own loved ones ever flash across their mind for a split second?

It is really hard to imagine how one can be so emotionless & brutal when it comes to their vulnerable fellow beings... Perhaps they wanna make themselves seem strong & mighty & heroic..but to me is just the direct opposite.

They are 'strong" for they act on the helpless & vulnerable, "mighty" for they are only able to use threats & fear to achieve their goals (no value-add & sincerity), "heroic" for they have obviously misunderstood its meanings. Or perhaps they gain their "glory" for being the most feared & hated by the rest of the world.

Having said all these, i cant help but feeling a little sympathetic. They must be the loneliest people in this world, isolated by the rest, and facing the dark side of deaths & suffering everyday. Some of us cant even tolerate a few bad words from our own classmate, and this is nothing compared to the amount of outrage & hatred & badmouthings the terrorists are facing.

They must also have known fear & pain really well, for them to so successfully instil it to their victims & loved ones..

They must be really deprived of Love..if not they won't be so eager to take it away from their victims & their families using such extreme desperate measures..

If they have families, won't they wanna spend a good afternoon chilling out with them, sharing their happiness & sorrow? If they have children, won't they wanna see their children growing up slowly in a beautiful environment filled with laughter & joy? If they have friends, won't they wanna create fond memories playing & joking together freely?

To me, it would be meaningless living in a world where u don't experience love or don't even know that it exists.. to them, where is the love?
